Our Story. Several things came together at once to put us
on the path that we are on now.
I
was introduced to these products by a good friend, Yvonne Coleman.
Yvonne is a very savvy business person, as she is on several corporate
boards, was an Executive VP of Bank of America as well as the host
of the the WLOQ Sunday Jazz Brunch. This is not the profile of someone
that does not know what they are doing. So because of of her integrity
and credibility I gave the products and the business behind it a
thorough look.
The first products I tried were the MagStep insoles and
the Diamond Cut Necklace. Yvonne told me that another Jazz
musician wears the necklace to help his breathing and lung power
and the insoles would help out my energy level and balance. Sure
enough, I noticed that when I performed as a saxophonist, my feet
did not hurt like they used to, neither did my back. I also was
not out of breath when I played those long, high notes. This was
definitely a change but I still did not believe. "I'm just
in better shape now, right?"
I thought of a better test. I sent my grandmother a pair of insoles.
She is 76 years old and has Diabetic Neuropathy in her feet. Her
discomfort ranges from tingling to outright pain. Sometimes she
could not walk and had to take medication to improve her circulation
to stave off the inevitable amputations. When I sent her this product
she had just got out of the hospital became of an adverse reaction
to that same medication. Doctors warned her that if she did not
take another brand or type that she could start to lose her toes.
Well, grandma put the insoles on and within a few short weeks I
got a call from her that amazed me! One foot had stopped hurting
completely and the other only hurt on the occasion of her Arthritis
flaring up in her knee! This was much better than what that medication
had done. But can you imagine how I felt? I had the power to positively
affect the health of someone I loved! I did not have to sit on the
sidelines and cringe at the fact that she was hurting and there
was nothing that I could do. That is a very rewarding feeling. I
was now convinced!
Since
then we have been using a full range of wellness products. Consequently,
over the past year, my dependence on using Advair, a steroid inhalant
to cure my asthma symptoms has ceased. I also do not have to take
Lotrel, to cure the symptoms of my chronic and genetic predisposition
to high blood pressure. My BP was now at high school levels! Andrea
and I sleep much better on our Sleep System and she now has energy
that she never had before to take on the school system as a teacher.
Before we started using these products she was so exhausted on a
daily basis that all she wanted to do was get into bed as soon as
she got home. You should see her now!
The Business
But why did we start doing this as a business? Early last year
a friend of mine introduced me to a book called "Rich Dad Poor
Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. That book changed my life. No longer
would I be happy with the daily plod of corporate America hoping
and praying for a raise and being in constant fear of being laid
off. I was transformed into a man looking for a Plan B. After reading
Kiyosaki's "The Business School For People Who Like Helping
People" Wellness became part of that plan for us. We now have
the ability to build a franchise business that is characterized
by:
